Soil Fertility Management

This course provides practical and theoretical knowledge on managing soil fertility for sustainable agricultural production. Participants will explore essential concepts such as soil nutrient dynamics, soil testing, organic and inorganic fertilisation methods, and best practices to maintain and improve soil health. Emphasising the stewardship mandate from Genesis 2:15, this course highlights eco-friendly strategies to enhance crop productivity while preserving the environment, reflecting God’s design for creation care.

Soil fertility is a gift from God, essential for sustaining life and fulfilling His command to "be fruitful and multiply". However, improper soil management, intensive farming practices, and climate change have led to widespread soil degradation, which contrasts with our biblical responsibility to steward creation. This course equips participants with biblical principles and scientific practices to optimise crop yields, care for the earth, and contribute to sustainable agriculture as an act of worship.

Grounded in the biblical principle of stewardship, this course bridges traditional and modern soil fertility practices with an emphasis on sustainability and reverence for God’s creation. It highlights the importance of soil health for long-term agricultural productivity and environmental sustainability, offering actionable strategies to tackle fertility-related challenges in diverse farming systems. Participants will be inspired to approach soil management not only as a technical task but as a spiritual calling to cultivate the land responsibly, honoring God’s design for productive and sustainable ecosystems.
